It's like a stone's throw away from Alton Towers and not too far from Buxton Opera House. Plus, it's right next to a golf course so we felt super fancy. The cottage had loads of space for all of us and it was so quiet, we slept like babies after all the rides and parties we had. Such a chill spot to crash after a wild day!
The only thing we'd ask for is a legit party room with sick speakers and a dance floor. Don't get me wrong, the cottage was cool and all, but we just needed a little more turn-up vibes for our crew.

The lovely cottage had a warm and inviting ambiance that made me feel right at home. The decoration was tasteful and not overwhelming, making it easy for me to navigate the space without any unnecessary clutter. As a senior woman, I greatly appreciated the accessibility of the cottage, with no steps to worry about and parking right outside the property. It was a relief to be able to unload my belongings without any difficulties.
I would have preferred if the children working there could provide a more powerful shower for a more enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Lark's Rise Cottage was an absolute delight. The value for money was exceptional, as the spacious and spotlessly clean cottage exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal for exploring the beautiful scenery, and the friendly and accommodating hosts made us feel welcomed throughout our stay.
If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be to offer a wider variety of breakfast choices.

The decoration at Lark's Rise Cottage was charming and cozy, reminding me of my own childhood home. The vintage furniture and tasteful accents created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as handrails in the bathrooms and well-lit hallways, making it easy to move around safely.
I would have loved to have a grab bar installed in the shower for added support and security. It would have made my stay even more comfortable and convenient, especially for senior guests like myself.

A better vacation for senior people would be even more delightful if there were handrails installed in some areas for added stability and support. This would ensure a worry-free stay and provide extra peace of mind for us older folks.

The cottage had secure parking, which was a nice bonus. It was also spacious, warm, and clean. the essentials were all provided, and there was no unnecessary clutter or excessive decoration. the owner was accommodating and helpful, especially when it came to changing our dates. it was a comfortable stay.
The shower could have been more powerful, especially when sharing with kids. It's understandable that this might not always be possible due to water supply issues, but it would have been a nice improvement.

The bathrooms at Lark's Rise Cottage were spotless and had large, inviting bathtubs. As a couple who loves to unwind and relax after a long day, we couldn't have asked for a cozier bathing experience. Just perfect!
We personally found the water pressure in the shower a bit too gentle for our liking. But hey, everyone has their own preferences, right?
